Title: EFFECT OF DEBT FINANCING ON BUSINESS PERFORMANCE: A COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN I&M BANK AND BANK OF KIGALI, RWANDA

Abstract: The effect of debt financing on firm performance is of considerable importance to all bank business. The study is focussed on establishing the effect of debt financing on firm performance, a comparati ve study between I&M Bank and Bank of Kigali within a period of six years from 2010. The study was descriptive and correlative in nature. The study found a strong positive relationship between debt level and profitability for both I&M bank and Bank of Kigali. This tends to be less expensive and increasing it with a relatively low interest rate which leads to the increase in profit levels and hence performance. The sustainability indicators shows that, Bank of Kigali was very stable in internal financial health with average SGR of 21% and IGR of 1.7% than its competitor I&M Bank with average SGR of 10% and IGR of 0.6%. However, the debt levels are not influenced by the variation on both SGR and IGR. The study concludes that Bank of Kigali was the best financial performer than its competitor I&M Bank. These were shown by the fact that during the period of last six years, the average ROE is 21% for BK against 26% for I&M Bank , average ROA is 4% for BK against 3% for I&M Bank, average LA is 51% for BK against 47% for I&M Bank, average LD is 74% for BK against 60% for I&M Bank, average SGR is 21% for BK against 10% for I&M Bank and finally average IGR is 3% for BK against 2% for I&M Bank. Abstract: The study looked at determining the influence to teamwork towards achievement of organizational goals, a case of selected organizations in Lagos, Nigeria. The main purpose of the study was to establi sh the influence of teamwork towards achievement of organization goals in selected organization in Lagos, Nigeria. The required data was collected from various organizations in Lagos Nigeria, through questionnaire guides for primary data and secondary data being the library, internet and analyzed using SPSS. The study was conducted through descriptive survey and correlation research design, quantitative approach with a questionnaire and includes 100 respondents from selected manufacturing companies in Lagos, Nigeria. The key findings of the study reveal that; there is a strong relationship between the workers and the teamwork in their organization, the roles of team work in organization are very significant to achievement of organization goals, the level of team development in most of the organization is high, many of the respondent were not decided on this matter, most organizations do not offer rewards to its members employees who participate and promote team work for the achievement of organizational goals, team work is seen as an important tool in realization of organization’s goals and effectiveness, some organizations which do not carry out team work may not be able to attain their organizational goals to meet their minimum expectations, there is a very high relationship between teams and organizational goals, among others. The study therefore recommends that; the organizational goal by sensitizing its employee’s members to always consider it as a source of achieving set organizational goals; and also, the organizations should also consider offering rewards to those identified persons in promoting realization of organizational goals as a result of team work. Abstract: This study is for providing an analysis of the impact of mobile banking in financial performance of Unguka Bank Ltd (2012-2016). It is analyzing in depth previous studies to review the effect of mobil e banking in financial performance of Unguka Bank Ltd. Both Quantitative and Qualitative research methods such as questionnaires and interview were used towards answering the research questions in order to generate primary data. Furthermore, the study tackled on second data for attaining the objectives of the study. The questionnaires were distributed to all senior and employees who have experience with mobile banking. The interview was also administered to managers in order to fully understand the topic under research. This interview, also aimed at compensating for the eventual shortcomings of the questionnaires. On the basis of the data collected and interpreted, a number of findings and conclusions were made and presented. Findings revealed that mobile banking products offered by Unguka Bank Ltd some of which include, Fund Transfer between Accounts, Bill Payment, and order for cheque books and bank statements and mobile money. And these mobile banking products were found to have increased the revenue of Unguka ltd in the last three years.
