Abstract: Abstract - The manufacturing defects of the Die casting samples were decrease the strength and quality of product. In this project a systematic approach has been developed to find the best process for manufacturing die-casting. Form the survey different type of parameter has been taken to manufacture the die casting parts which has to analyses the influence of process parameters on the defects during Die casting of aluminum alloy. Tests carried out on nine design of experiment characterized by different survey on the basis of Temperature, Force exerted by piston and Type of casting process on aluminum alloy that solidify and analysis the defects of shrinkage and porosity due to gases produce during cooling. In this work defects initiation and growth have been analyzed in order to identify the factors causing these very high residual stresses that often produce shrinkage and porosity propagation throughout the casting. The defects were found on every square centimeter by microscope and then take their average. The best outputs were obtained on the basis of results of confirmation experiments reveal that topsis method can effectively optimize an optimal combination of the process parameters. It is perhaps the first attempt of its kind in the area of die-casting which analyze manufacturing parameter, and is expected to be of significant interest and value to the industry. Abstract: Abstract - This paper represents the trajectory planning for loading and unloading operations by articulated robotic arm.6-Axes Robotic Arm is a project based on designing of the robot arm with more n umber of axes. The arm has six axes and six degrees of freedom. The six degrees of freedom allows the robot to move in all the three dimensions. Servo motors are used as controlling elements for providing the different degrees of freedom to the robot arm. 6-axes robotic arm is useful for industrial applications like welding, painting, assembly, pick and place, product inspection and testing with great accuracy. Robotic arm has been widely used in manufacturing industry as part of automation system. Typical applications of robots in industry include welding, painting, assembly pick and place, packaging and palletizing, product inspection and testing. The effectiveness of the proposed analysis was verified by comparing simulation and experimental results. Ten different scenarios with different number and pattern of obstacles were used to verify the efficiency of the entire path planning algorithm. Overall results confirmed the efficiency of the implemented methods for performing pick-and-place operations with a 6-DOF manipulator. Abstract: Abstract - A case study of Inlet manifold of engine is taken here to demonstrate the method. While working on this objective the aim will be to reduce the lead time required for tooling required for t he conventional block-type investment casting process. There are strong incentives to reduce costs while increasing speed and accuracy in the current market. RP is an ideal method when the components are complex in shape because it substantially compresses the time for developing prototypes, patterns and tooling. This method is even more promising on cost and time front. The capabilities to fabricate freeform surfaces, inbuilt cores, projections and supports are the unbeatable strengths of RP processes. The use of benefits in terms costs have proved that the adoption of RP technology is techno-economically justifiable for the Indian manufacturing industries. Rapid Prototyping have proved to be a cost-effective and time efficient approach for development of pattern making, thereby ensuring possibility for technology transfer in Indian manufacturing industries.In this paper a problem of manufacturing of new products is described. It requires inter alia making a prototype with conventional or advanced technologies. Prototype can be fabricated with use of rapid prototyping techniques. Abstract: Abstract - Internal corrosion would not be identified as a threat for any pipeline that could be confirmed to be free of liquid water. However, for the majority of pipelines, the possibility of introd ucing some water with the supply gas or liquid cannot be ignored, so an evaluation of the threat of internal corrosion would be appropriate. Stress Corrosion Cracking would not be identified as a threat unless the following three conditions are present. It can be maintained by Risk assessment and risk management (Hot-dipped tin plating) are processes essential to the successful management of pipeline integrity. These processes provide the foundation for prioritizing efforts on the highest risk pipelines and serve as the technical basis for the actions implemented to mitigate the threats to the pipeline. Abstract: Abstract - An effort evaluates the advantages offered by non-conventional machining for the development of composite fiber reinforced polymer material (CFRP). Although, abrasive jet Machining (AJM) is highly efficient in the machining of advanced composite materials due to their unique characteristics, efficient machining of sandwich structures by AJM needs many challenges to be addressed. This work presents various issues observed in AJM on CFRP composite materials, and the effects of AJM are analyzed in processing these composite materials. In the AJM process used drilling experiment was done on glass as the work piece and aluminum oxide (Al2O3) as abrasive powder. The effect of Overcut (OC) and Material removal rate (MRR) of glass material was finding by using L9 orthogonal array based on Taguchi design and considering the, pressure of air and stand-off-distance are control parameter. Abstract: Abstract - The production of biodiesel from waste cooking oil (WCO) is one of the technological advances geared toward the promotion of clean energy sources. This conversion process deriving value fro m waste material also addresses the ecological and environmental concerns of waste management. Transesterification of waste cooking oil in the presence of Potassium Hydroxide accomplishes the conversion of WCO to biodiesel. Sensitivity analysis on biodiesel yield was performed at various catalyst concentrations of 0.75%, 1.00%, 1.25% and 1.50% (by mass of WCO) under identical reaction conditions of 60OC, reaction time of 60 minutes, 22g methanol and 100g of WCO. Catalyst concentration of 1.00% gave the maximum yield of 97.30%. Characterization of the biodiesel gave results which satisfied the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) specification; density of 878kg/m3 at 15OC, kinematic viscosity of 4.70mm2/s at 40OC and flash point of 136OC. Abstract: NoSQL databases are widely used to handle and store data for large scale applications. Database system performance is an important quality attribute to develop software and applications because it is related to the other qualitative attributes such as availability, reliability, functionality and so on. There are no tools or software in the market to accurately measure the performance of NoSQL databases. As a result of having various levels of performance within NoSQL databases, it is important to evaluate and compare their performances to identify potential strategies. Because the evaluation process is subject to various degrees of expert opinions and preferences, it is difficult to assign the performance priorities and specify how NoSQL databases can be ranked. We propose a Fuzzy evaluation scheme that provides evaluation degrees with more precise. This scheme depends on conducting the pairwise comparisons between the alternatives in terms certain criterion. This paper implement fuzzy scheme and preliminary results will be showed clearly by total performance for each database. The numerical values are represented in the results to be easier during the ranking. This study allows the developers and system analysts to specify the most suitable database due to the application needs. Abstract: Abstract - A group of moving visual images called frames along with corresponding text and sounds are called Video. The popularity of using digital video on Internet leads to illicit copying and dispe rsal of content. In order to avoid this, video watermarking technique is used as a preventive measure for illegal copying of copyrighted material. In this paper, watermarking algorithm for embedding a digital watermark in any video is proposed. The proposed algorithm preserve the video quality and provide security. The performance of the algorithm is analyzed using Peak Signal to Noise Ratio, Normalized Correlation and Mean Squared Error with respect to various videos. Experimental evaluation demonstrate that the proposed algorithm perform satisfactorily compared to traditional algorithms in terms of payload, transparency and video quality. Abstract: Abstract - Day by the count of elderly people living alone at home increases. Fall is one of the major risks for elderly people. Sometimes older people may get serious injury to their backbone (spinal cord) and that may lead to death. Sometimes fallen injured elderly may be lying on the ground for several hours after a fall incident has occurred. This makes it important to have a fall detection system. In this paper, we propose a MHI based fall detection system. Our approach is based on angle of falling.
