Abstract: Voltage sags have always been a huge threat to sensitive industrial and commercial electrical consumers, and deep sags with long duration time are usually more intolerable. In this paper, a new topol ogy of series-connected compensator is presented to mitigate long duration deep sags, and the compensation ability is highly improved with a unique shunt converter structure acting as a parasitic boost circuit that has been theoretically analyzed. Additionally, the proposed active voltage quality regulator is a cost-effective solution for long duration sags that are lower than 50%of the nominal voltage as it is transformer less compared with the traditional dynamic voltage restorer. High operation efficiency is ensured by applying the dc-link voltage adaptive control method. Abstract: Wind plays a crucial role in many physical applications such as wind energy explorations, pollutants transport and diffusion. Wind is considered to be highly variable from both of temporal and geogra phical point of views. This is why this paper deals with the investigation of wind potential energy in one of the most important city of Cameroon, the Bafoussam's city of the western region, with the data obtained both from the Bafoussam airport and the NASA meteorological services. By the using of the maximum entropy principle (MEP) we have derived a family of pre-exponential distributions in order to describe wind speed probability distributions. The statistical performances of the developed distributions are compared with those of the conventional Weibull distributions. As a result it has been found that Bafoussam is the low potential site for installing wind turbine. The average annually wind speed within the chosen time interval being 1.6 m/s, which can be classified as class 1, according to the international system wind classification. Moreover, the result shows that the night time is the windy time, while 22h30 is the windiest moment. Abstract: This paper presents a mathematical model for the analysis of Matrix Converter (MC). The converter system is modeled in Matlab/Simulink environment using Sim-power block-sets. Simulations are carried out at different switching frequencies in view to analyze the effect on harmonic distortion of output voltage. The simulation results are verified using a prototype. The open loop speed-torque characteristic of Induction Motor (IM) is also studied. A novel four-quadrant vector controlled induction motor (IM) adjustable speed drive ( ASD ) system based on a recently proposed matrix converter topology called quasi-Z-source direct matrix converter (QZSDMC). The QZSDMC is formed by cascading the quasi-Z-source impedance network and the conventional direct matrix converter (DMC). The QZSDMC can provide buck-boost operation with voltage transfer ratio controlled by controlling the shoot-through duty ratio and bidirectional operation capability. The control strategy, which is based on the indirect field oriented control algorithm, is able to control the motor speed from zero to the rated value under full load condition during motoring and regenerating operation modes. The operating principle of the proposed system is presented in detail. Abstract: In the environment various type of noise is found which degrades the quality of images. To get the better quality of image or information a process is used which is called image fusion. Fusion process extremely utilizes more completely and superfluous information. Images counterfeit sometimes during accomplishment or transmission or due to error in memory locations in the hardware. Image fusion can be done at different levels such as pixel level, feature level and decision level. Abstract: In the present work, a modified solar still has been designed which uses partial steps and absorber material. The performance of the modified solar still (MSS) is compared with conventional solar sti ll (CSS) under the same climatic conditions. The steps and absorber are used to increase time of contact and surface area of water which increase the evaporation rate. The maximum temperature of the steps, absorber plate and CSS basin were found to be 53°C, 61°C and 60°C, respectively. The maximum hourly distillate obtained from the modified solar still was 245 ml, at 1:00 PM and for conventional solar still was 100 ml at 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Hence, the productivity of the modified solar still with partial steps and black cotton absorber is higher than that for conventional still nearby 145%. The maximum accumulated distillate from MSS and CSS was obtained 1125 ml and 355 ml, respectively which are 3.16 times or 216% higher than conventional solar still. The profile based mostly security scheme are check the profile of every node in network and only the attacker is one in all the node that flooded the excess packets in network then PPS has block the performance of attacker. The performance of network is measured on the idea of performance metrics like routing load, output etc. The simulation results are represents a similar performance simply just in case} of traditional routing and in case of PPS scheme; it means the PPS scheme is effective and showing 0% infection in presence of attacker. Abstract: The paper proposes the stator resistance and machine speed estimation strategy based on rotor flux based MRAS in a systematic manner. This paper presents online method of estimating the stator resist ance of an induction motor inconjuction with the motor rotor speed to improve the performance of rotor field oriented control technique. Since stator resistance varies with temperature operating conditions, stable operation in low speed requires an appropriate on-line observer for the stator resistance. It enables the correct speed estimation and stable drive operation at low speed. The proposed parallel speed with stator resistance estimator is verified by MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation software. A simulation result shows the effectiveness, robustness and accuracy of the proposed method.
